The Watch & Jo Show: A New Pop Culture Podcast

The name might change, but I am thrilled to introduce a brand new pop culture podcast called The Watch & Jo Show! Now that Lost has ended, I will continue to write about various shows here and on TVsquad and TVovermind. But I felt the need to expand my horizons and audience, so here is my first attempt at a podcast. It does not contain any music yet; this is a very basic and brief introduction. And yes, I promise to infuse more personality in the next episode - I was following an outline and my nerves may have played a role this time around.

Of course I'd LOVE to hear your feedback, as well as what shows you'd like me to cover, etc.

I will try to post this in iTunes as soon as possible, and will be unveiling a new logo soon as well.

Thank you for listening - I look forward to reading your thoughts about episode 1.

Yay! Glad to see you're remaining part of the podcasting fold. Once you go pop, you can't stop! Or something like that.

Woo HOO! First - you've got a great voice! After reading you all these years, it's nice to know what your voice actually sounds (instead of the one I made up for you in my head .

    Great first podcast! Congrats!

Love all the shows you do, so as things heat up on any of them I think focusing there would be great.

Look forward to hearing from you soon - in addition to all the reading!

    Hi Jo,

I think podcasting is a great next step for you (and those who follow you)! I look forward to listening to your podcast develop.

Since you keep up with so many shows, do you plan to focus your podcast on just a few shows and go into depth about them? It seems like it would be too intensive to cover all the shows you keep up with in a single podcast.

Perhaps as part of your podcast you might consider covering pop culture events in general - like the Emmys and Comic Con (I would LOVE this kind of a focus).

    Thanks for all you do!

That was a good start and you're a great talker. I'm gonna be keeping an eye (ear) on this and hopefully find some new shows cos I have nothing post-Lost.

Loved your first podcast! Found myself wishing you had done a Lost podcast! I intend to start watching Fringe, so I would enjoy a podcast about that. Personally, I am an awards-show junkie, so I would love, love, love an awards-based podcast during awards season. Also, I am a huge fan of Community & think Abed is an absolute find! Where has he been this whole time?!

I didn't really sense any nerves listening to this initial podcast & thought it went very well.

As a side note, I am in Lost withdrawal, I am still having dreams about the show!

Nicely done Jo. You totally need a sign-off. Something you say at the end of the podcast... I dont know why I explained that, I'm sure you know what a sign-off is. I have faith in you that something clever will pop (culture) into that brain of yours. I did like the episode note.

    Great flow and pace.

Nice job on the first podcast. I like the name, I say keep it. Shows to discuss: Chuck is a must.
